Scripting is powerful, but it takes knowledge and practice to reap the rewards. Even though my background in computer programming helped me with some of the aspects of scripting, I have spent countless hours in the learning process. And I'm still learning more. I've worked on a structured way to share the knowledge that I've gained with you. Hopefully, it will make your learning easier and faster. Assignments will give you opportunities to practice what you've learned - a very important part of this process.
I've really enjoyed my first blogging days. A big THANK YOU to Tricia, who took my site graphics and setup this blog for me. Thanks to everyone who has stopped by and commented. Now I'm feeling like a kid at Christmastime. I can hardly wait to see what you think of Lesson 1.

Hi, my name is Tricia and I'm interested in these scripting classes because I've been fascinated by the scripts I've seen you write at thePlace and I think it would be fun to learn how to do that.
ReplyDeleteI've been using PSP for a couple years now and before that I used Photoshop, just not for graphics or scripting and the like. So far all I've really scripted are tuts I've recorded, although I have added get materials stops to a couple of scripts. Oh yeah, and I've replaced missing steps since that turned out to be easier that rerecording the whole script.
I learned HTML several years ago now, the hard way, on a free yahoo website. I now host on go daddy, and I've coded my entire site by hand in compliant xhtml 1.0 & css2.
What else would I like to share about me. I'm a single mom, of one fantastic little girl. I just started a 10 week dental assisting program and enjoying it. I have a dog and 3 cats besides the munchkin, to keep life fun and interesting. My blog started on blogger, moved to a self-hosted WordPress blog, and now I host on a blogengine.net blog on my go daddy account. American Idol and House are two of my favorite tv shows, and I think that's about it. I look forward to the next section.

PSP use: 6 yers
Experience: i can write simple script's, have dont a wreath, easter egg with bow etc. I can put the message box in, and the box to choose pattern, color or gradient. I can change it to work in versions 9 thru 12, that is about all at his moment i can do in scripting.
html: i use to write OE stationery scripts using html.
Myself: i am 63 years old, live alone, work in the medical field, love playing in PSP.
Questions: none really just looking forward to the lessons, and want to thank you so much for offering your time and knowledge and talent with those of us that want to learn more indepth scripting.

ReplyDeleteI have limited experience with scripts. I have written a couple of my own, and have used a couple written by talented others. I have windows XP, and mainly used PSP X.
I have very little experience with HTML, i would classify myself as a beginner, less if possible.
I tbe, have learned tut writing, and am making digital scraps. I love my PSP, it's may main hobby. I also love photography, using many of my photos for my creations.
The first lesson was well presented, and I have no questions right now. I would really like to learn Scripting to make some routine tasks in PSP easier.

What experience,if any,do you have with HTLM:I'm very familar with the code use to make script with Outlook Express paper.
What else would you like to tell us about yourself: I'm mostly 63 years old,living with my retired man since 13 years, I'm working twice a month, so I can say that I'm retired, I do a lot of digitalscrapping and I have open my blog last December to share my work with anyone interested. As you can see English is not my first language ah! ah!

I've written a few basic beginner scripts.
I've run a lot of scripts.
I taught myself basic HTML years ago and set up my own multi-page website at Geocities.
